"This was a great little place to find. I'm not from LaFollette, but was just there for work. I googled "lunch specials near me," and I'm really glad I settled on this spot. It's a no-frills style menu that boasts the "Worlds best hotdogs" on the front glass. I'm a big fan of Nathan's all-beef kosher franks, so I couldn't help but try one of theirs with a side of fried pickles. I had the Nacho Dog, a chili-dog topped with nacho cheese and pickled jalapenos. I was Very satisfied. The decor is a bit Montana (wood carving of The statue of liberty, wild boar mounted on the wall, etc.) which I found a charming change of pace, and the employees were absolutely great. Professional, courteous and friendly, but pretty no-nonsense. There are also pool tables in the back of the dining room. I will definitely be back to try the Royal Burger (Royale with cheese), a bacon cheeseburger topped with an over-easy egg, and the onion rings. I wanted to try the onion rings that day, but there aren't enough Tums in the world to settle my belly if I'd've had the onion rings with the Nacho Dog. Would definitely recommend. Enjoy!"

"Nice hidden gem in LaFollette. Super cute and cozy atmosphere, very friendly service, and good menu selection. The fried pickles were the BEST I've ever had (and fried pickles are my favorite appetizer so we get them a lot) with a nice thick cornmeal breading. There was a nice pile of them- especially for the price! The hot dogs were good, bread was fresh and the dog was tasty. The meat/chili(?) on top was tasty. I would have liked more chopped onions on my dog- and I am sure if I would have asked she would have brought some..... Drinks were refilled in a timely manner and service was fast and friendly. We really enjoyed the pool tables in the back and played several games. Will definitely be back!"

"This place is a hidden gem. I live in Knoxville and I was sent up here to work for the day. Decided to try something local and found this place and I'm very pleased that I did. Staff is very friendly and the food was amazing. Will definitely be back when passing through again."

"I love eating here, great food and the waitresses are awesome!"

- Curt H.

"It's the only place that makes a hot dog the right way. They make a pretty good burger. Everybody working there is pretty nice. It's absolutely worth stopping it. It has really great rustic decor and a good ambiance and it is absolutely the best of a No-Frills kind of place. It is what it is and it is pretty damn good. There is a reason that The Royal is the last one standing of the great lunch counters and pool rooms of LaFollette."
